Sights and Sounds
From the ranger’s side of things once again, just like every year in the history of Tshukudu this one has been full of fun, excitement and surprises. Savannah's cubs Ntombie, Hunters, Tequila and Floppy have definitely been the highlight of the farm this year, with them officially growing into big kitties and making everyone so proud especially those closest to them, the Tshukudu rangers.
We have had countless memorable sightings with them some good and some bad. The cats have been the action packed attraction on our morning walk with sometimes as many as 4 kills on the walk in a week! It really has been such a privilege to see them grow and all Tshukudu guests have had a chance to share it with us. We hope they continue to live in happiness and safety here and as they are well aware they will be welcome to use the lodge as a favourite hangout spot for as long as they want.
The general game viewing as always in our nutritious sweet veld has been excellent. Many highlights from all the rangers including some epic lion kills, many leopard sightings and lots of others as those of you who have stayed here know, there is always action at Tshukudu. We are proud to announce Richard Sussens has finally gone and got his guiding qualifications and we are confident that he will become yet another powerful asset to our dedicated team of rangers. Well done Rich!
We are also very happy to announce the sound of little lion pads cantering around once again in the form of Sheila a young lioness who is shaping up to be yet another Tshukudu legend loved by all. She was born on the 28th of November 2010 and has just starting to realise how much fun the morning walks are. We expect a whole bundle of fun and experiences from her to come.
